 Personal Server Dev4
« Thread Started on Mar 26, 2011, 3:05pm »

Development build 4 of the Personal Server Edition is now available. This build brings with it quite a lot of minor fixing and polishing. The most noticeable change is the pulling an Iceweasel on the Remastersys installer. This has been requested by the Remastersys developer as there are some custom patches done to the installer and he will be re-writing it in an updated toolkit (One that isn't in the Debian repositories yet and one I do not intend use at this time). Considering the features it brings, the SalineOS installer will most likely use Yad (Yet Another Dialog) for a GUI toolkit for 2.0.

Changelog:

Went through and cleaned unnecessary files from the image builds.

Added aptitude update to installxbmc

Modified the Remastersys .desktop files to remove them from the settings menu. I will apply this to the next SalineOS main builds as well.

Reformatted the code for the installer, mostly adding indenting to if/then statements.

Patched the installer to fix issue with generating the UUID and Filesystem type for fstab when the noformat option is chosen.

Created a new Icon for the installer.

Many small revisions to the user manual.
