Unleash the Beast « Thread Started on Feb 2, 2011, 5:33pm »
I got this crazy idea into my head a few days ago and since we've been hit by a bunch of Winter storms the last two days, I decided yesterday to do something about it. It was just for fun, the computer isn't supposed to be super detailed, but I did do a proper US keyboard layout (that took a while.) Anywho, here it is:

I'm somewhat anal retentive when it comes to my art. To my horror, I accidentally rendered the image in a 2:1 aspect ratio, not 16:9 (hence, the black bars.) Unfortunately, I figured that out after I started doing my post work in Gimp. So, I went back and re-rendered the image in its proper 1600 x 900 resolution.

Nice. I'm glad you like it.
Now I need to build the rest of the robot, though. I already have arms, but I don't see them being attached to a computer tower being that useful for other images.

If they were long enough they could scratch your back. would be great with verble commands while playing games.

I was in from '01 to '05, so I was a bit more of a "hot" warrior. Literally, it gets freakin' hot in the dessert of Afghanistan. (if they tell you it's a "dry" heat, spit in their face, there's nothing "dry" about you + a dessert + 30 lbs of body armor and other gear on top of that) Fortunately, when I was there, it was winter for about half of it.

I was lucky after 20 years nothing major happened on my watch. I retired in '95.
