 Different flask
« Thread Started on Oct 3, 2011, 3:27am »

I decided to make my own flask, cause I don't like the current one:P It isn't finished yet, currently looks like this. I'd appreciate any feedback or help :)

@petrek
IMHO. I like the heavy lines in the flask.
Could you try one without the flask for the "a" in Saline.
The Debian symbol fits in well, I think.

Thanks, I'm not sure what font was used for logo (freesans?), so I took this.

Interesting.
I'd really like to see the SalineOS line but there's really not enough room.
Or there is, but the text would get much smaller.
I've been promoting the use of "SalineOS" in all references since the beginning.
But I do like the heavy outline of the flask.

I thought about even heavier outline, for better results in lower resolutions, I must try it soon. With OS flask looks like this:

If e was make in different colour, and was put in the first plan, OS could get closer to n, so the text can be little bigger.

Better and better.
Maybe someone remembers what the original font is?
Or maybe just use FreeSans Serif for all?
They seem a bit different, but I'm not a real font evaluater.

The font I use now is a bit slimmer than freesans, in this version text it thicker and more round:)

Definite improvement on the font.
Just installed it on my black top panel and it disappears in the background. :(
Can it be white letters and light-gray flask on transparent?
(Only) the red Debian swirl is reasonably visible.

PS: You can ignore me if I'm a pest. :)

Looks good.
And now a light color for a black background. :)
And it really needs to be spaced up a bit from the bottom.
The bottom of the flask doesn't show on the icon.

No, don't stop.
The one above is really fine for the icon.
Must be the other one. :) With text. Before the one above.

The flask looks more flask-like.
That's good.

Trying the above with the larger swirl for the panel icon.
