| | (solved) How to restore 'clean' applet? « Thread Started on Apr 16, 2012, 12:12pm » | |
Clean will now clear the cache of Iceweasel, Firefox and Google Chrome. It will also clear the History on Google Chrome, support for clearing history in Firefox and Iceweasel is not currently included but might be added in the future. It is recommended if you use Firefox or Iceweasel to set it to not remember history if desired. Hello, Unfortunately I deleted clean applet and unable to restore it. Thanks for a solution.
Kind regards.

You need to create a launcher (right click on the panel, chose 'Add new item'. select 'launcher'). Enter the name, enter a description if you want one, then enter the command - "Clean" (without the quotes and making sure that you enter it as shown - upper case C, lower case for the rest). The script is located in /usr/local/bin, which is in the path, so you won't need anything other than the command name.
You'll also need to click on the icon and add one - its a bit difficult to see the launcher on the panel without an icon
Paul.
