No, not really. The AutoUpdate script will configure apt to pull in backported packages from the official Debian backports repository, after I test them for stability and compatibility. Most packages though will remain the same until the release of Wheezy. I intend to update Chromium, GIMP, OpenOffice.org, Pidgin and Xfce using backports should they be stable enough and not require too many newer libraries.
On top of that, SalineOS has the WINE repositories for Debian Squeeze to keep WINE updated and sgfxi can be used to continually update your graphics drivers. The base of the system will remain Debian 6.0 stable packages until Debian 7.0 Wheezy is released. Which will require either, 1 Re-installation (Recommended) or 2 Downloading and running a bash script from http://www.salineos.com in order to update the system.

Well nuts! I was looking for a good Debian distro that did not require complete reinstalls. But guess you can't have your cake and eat it to. I at present am using Parsix which i like but it also needs complete reinstall. I think i will still download and try Saline OS.

Well it is possible you can upgrade to the newest version without re-installation. But, there is always a chance that something will go wrong. I will be releasing a script that will automate the best practices for upgrading for you. And, I will take into account as many of the known upgrade issues Debian posts in my script. I just think clean installs every now and again are good things, and if you attempt the upgrade you should still backup your data and be prepared for the worst.
I would recommend periodic backups for any rolling release distros you use as well though. Perhaps I am just a conservative person when it comes to such things
