I figured out why Arch updates so often and its scary. Tried Semplice, Siduction and Aptosid again, but too much kernel tinkering. Currently downloading 1.6. See you on the flip side.

Ive played with those in Virtualbox but always keep Saline and Squeeze on my HDD. Sometimes you fell like Xfce sometimes ya don't. LOL!

Thanks for still being here, guys. I've finished installing 1.6 and tinkered with it a little. I installed my favorite tiling window manager, awesome for those times when I don't feel like xfce. I also installed conkeror web browser, cmus music player and replaced icedove with sylpheed (icedove was filtering junk messages to an unknown folder) and chromium 6 with chrome 17.
I also had a numlock problem that was solved by installing x11-xkb-utils_7.6+4_amd64 from Sid. It didn't require any "unstable" deps so I figured it couldn't hurt. There's a post about it on the Debian forums. here
