The xfce4-weather-plugin stopped working as weather.com's licensing policy changed for accessing xoap weather data. This also affected conkyforecast, gdesklets, docky and cairo-dock weather. So I looked around and found a couple of alternate weather applications.

I found this conky-lua thermometer here
You'll need conky-all, curl gawk and luasocket.

Sorry, in case you missed it, the recent update returned the Weather app in Xfce Panels. Debby noted it earlier.

I guess I did miss it. Could you tell me which version of xfce4-weather-plugin you are using?

Installed through Synaptic Package Manager with xfce4-goodies. Did you run update today?

Installed xfce4-goodies with synaptic then ran the update script. It still shows the 0.7.3-3+b1 (stable) version of xfce4-weather-plugin installed. Do you have extra repos in your sources list? I haven't added any since I installed 1.6.

I am running an upgraded 1.5 to 1.6 via Anthony's Shells. See screenshot for Repos.

These are my repos. I forgot that google added the chrome repo when I installed it. I added the multimedia repo after installing 1.6, I didn't opt in the extra codecs during installation.

I have read about the fix for xfce4-weather-plugin here
but it didn't say where to get iit.

The difference here is beardedragon is on AMD64 and bootflag is on x86. Bootflag, you will just need to wait for the mirrors for x86 to catch up to the AMD64 repositories.

That was going to be my next question, "beardedragon, are you x86 or x86_64?"

thanks to both of you for your responses.

Check my signature for Specs.
