When I click new topics I get the same topics or something anyway, what I read doesn't seem to go away.
maybe i'm not doing something wrong.

It's not just you. "Mark as read" gets rid of the "New" tags but I still have the same stuff up there I had before. It must have an age limit on what it considers "new" instead of going by recent visits like a lot of forums do. I'm just glad there's a "New Topics" button, not all forums I've been on have that. (and on others it just doesn't work)

Sounds like its working as intended to me... I'll have a look into the forum configs at some point but i haven't tried managing any of that stuff yet. Been a little low priority with the main site being the major concern.

Hi guys yes, this is not a big priority and I'm sure that new folks to the OS would much rather people be concentrating on a situation with the OS than this, it was just an observation. Woodsmoke

These boards are hosted and scripted by a third party. We have no control on how they work (Besides a handful of settings). Personally I like how the forums handle everything and all the features they include.

I like the forum, it's very simple and it works well.
One thing that's nice about how the "New Topics" button works is that, if you want to go back to look at something long after you've read it, you don't have to remember which forum it was on. You just have to find it on the list.

Yup the forums are working fine. Just minor differences from other sites. Plus the quick reply is nice too.
