 mounting usb camera
« Thread Started on Jun 5, 2012, 10:00pm »

Trying to mount Canon A430, it will open in Gimp, but fotoxx cannot mount it. As I look around, there seems to be a bug report on the problem: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=564540#15 with no fix yet. Has anyone got a workaround?

I have not yet tried digikam, as that has worked for me in other distros, but getting all the KDE stuff downloaded to support it is a pita on my connection.

Wish I could help.
Digikam is one of the better apps in my limited experience.
I haven't tried to connect a camera to my desktop for years.

Probably best to put the mount commands into a script and
run it from the panel bar that is originally on the bottom, when you need it.

Apologies for repeating what you already know. :)
