Some of you may know me, I'm the guy who made the program remastersys that is responsible for the live iso and the installer. Anyway, based on this thread I went ahead and added a question for utc setting in the installer so you shouldn't run into this on future versions of SalineOS.

I'm glad to hear that, and I happy to help in any way that I can in the developing of salineos.

I considered this, but it eats up resources in the background instead of killing itself after setting the time. SalineOS 1.2 builds will default to local time in the live environment and as stated above the installer now has a dialog for properly setting the time. The updated installer will be on the 1.2 builds and the Personal Server Edition.

Ok...cool. Maybe I'll uninstall ntp and run the command line fix to remove UTC......thanks for the clear answer :)

Hi,

tzdata is included in Saline. Why look further?

I do this, and it works perfectly :

Time, date and time zone
---------------------------------------

To configure your operating system to use
timezone correctly, open a terminal,
type the following command:
Code:
# tzselect

and follow the instructions.

;) :D
