I've installed SalineOS to the Harddrive. So I guess that makes me an official user.
(You VirtualBox guys don't count) LOL

Looking good....crossing fingers for Xfce 4.8!

Welcome to the club. It's a good OS, I've had only a few problems since installation and they were easily ironed out.

Thanks...no problems yet. I'm installing codecs, etc and moving files over from back up.....

Easy

I've used Debian since 2004 with just apt-get dist-upgrade and just changing my /etc/sources.list from woody to sarge to etch and then Lenny. The only problems I had was with xorg and those where easy fixes. Squeeze was a fresh install to my brand new custom built computer.

I have my old computer up for the grandkids to use and when I upgraded it to squeeze it would freeze. I'm thinking it was xorg that caused the problem. SalineOS is based on Squeeze Sooo I downloaded the live CD version and am running that right now. I have all 4 desktops doing something. #3 is doing a slide show. I checked /var/log/xorg.0.log and that said the Intel video driver was being used so if it doesn't freeze in 3 or 4 hours I'll feel safe installing Saline i386 to it. Fingers crossed.
