|  | XnViewMP v0.50 deb is out !!

The deb and tgz on the xnview site did not work (probably still don't as I think they are for buntus AND neither say 050) because of gcc errors (missing v3.4...).
After posting the bug he fixed it and sent me two working files as a pm on the xnview forum. One a deb installer, and a tgz file if you want to run it portably instead. The menu item after install doesn't work but the ap itself does with association. It's the /opt/xnview/xnview.sh.
I have uploaded both the deb and the tgz as a zip file together to DataFileHost so that any other salineOS users who know what a great ap xnview is can also use it. Here's the link: http://www.datafilehost.com/download-fbb22515.html
The menu entry is an easy fix and once I figure it out I'll update this post.

Nice work Debby. I used to use XnView many years ago on Windows.
Hadn't thought about it for a long time. It and Irfanview were my favorites back then.

To fix the Graphics menu cmd, open /usr/share/applications as root and change the "XnView Multi Platform" under permissions-launcher to: /opt/XnView/xnview.sh. I shortened the link name to just XnView and unchecked the startup notify box. Works fine and so does the tzg folder unpacked in case you were wondering.

It is officially at 0.51 now but I still had to change the menu as above. nbd xnview rocks
